After many hours of deliberation and consulting with colleagues and health care professionals about recent developments with COVID-19, we decided to cancel Tac-Con-20. This was not an easy decision. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we’ve navigated this novel territory. Of course, we always prioritize the health and safety of our students, volunteers, colleagues, and staff. But even beyond that, a few additional factors really left us no choice.

First, many of our trainers (and many of you, the attendees) are active military and law enforcement, and those personnel are being called to duty or subject to travel restrictions. Second, there there have been drastic interruptions in domestic air travel, which could potentially leave people stranded. And finally, with the loss of several trainers and so many other disruptions beyond our control, we did not want to give attendees a diminished training experience. Tac-Con has built a stellar reputation over the past 22 years, and we want it to remain intact. Considering all those factors, we decided cancellation was best.

And now for some positive news. We have already secured the date and location for next year’s Tac-Con. It will be held from Friday to Sunday, March 26-28, 2021, at this same location (Dallas Pistol Club in Carrollton, TX). To register, please visit our Eventbrite page.

If nothing else, this unprecedented cancellation has reminded us just how lucky we are. Many of you have offered to help mitigate the tremendous cost of the cancellation in various ways, and even more have reached out with words and gestures of support and encouragement. We can’t thank you enough for your unwavering support. We’re already working hard to make the next Tac-Con even bigger and better. We hope to see you there.
