Tac-Con is the premier training event for everyone interested in personal defense. Founded by Tom Givens over two decades ago, Tac-Con brings renowned trainers from across the country together in one place for one weekend. The next conference will be March 28-30, 2025 in Dallas, Texas. We hope to see you there.
Tac-Con is typically scheduled for late March or early April, every year. The next conference will be held from Friday to Sunday, March 28-30, 2025. Classes run all day, from 8am to 6pm. There are usually at least eight or nine simultaneous tracks of seminars and live-fire classes for attendees to choose from.
We're quite lucky to be hosted by one of the finest training facilities in the country: Dallas Pistol Club, just outside of Dallas, TX. The address is 1830 W Belt Line Rd; Carrollton, TX 75006.
Tac-Con is perfect for anyone who is interested in personal safety, concealed carry, or self-defense. All skill levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced.

"This was a very well-organized educational experience. All of the instructors were so nice and passionately shared their skills with us... So looking forward to continuing to learn from all of the instructors through their posts on the internet and social media. I will see all of you next year for sure."
"Regardless of the class I participated in, I was continually impressed with the quality of the presentations at this year's Tac-Con. All of the presenters were consistent in stressing the need (and strategies) to do everything you can to avoid finding yourself in situations where you had to draw your firearm... While gun fighting skills are typically the fun part of conferences such as Tac-Con... these soft skills of avoiding gunfights are the skills we are most likely to use on a day-to-day basis."
"My boyfriend suggested that I go with him to Tac Con this year. I had an amazing time and I’m so glad I decided to go! Everything was set up great and very organized, and the people were all so nice! I’m sold and look forward to coming back next year. Thank you for the great experience!"
"Loved all the classes! I definitely loved Tom’s historical perspective of training. I also loved Tim and Ashton’s Changing Gears class. That was fantastic. The conference (as usual) was fantastic!"
"Excellent classes. I learned so much. Thank you for all the work and effort it took to put on an event of this quality."
"The combination of Beyond the 1% (Rehn), Concealed Carry and the Modern Woman (Whitlock), and The Changing Face of the Industry (Johnson/Qadir) provided an overview of the industry that I'm not sure you could get anywhere else at any price. These sessions offered a picture of who the audience is, where they are, how you reach then and what you say. Every other session was a goldmine of information that can be used to educate and assist that audience when you do reach them."
"Loved it. This was my first time at Tac-Con, and I look forward to attending next year... Keep up the good work. This information is vital for anyone who carries a firearm (LE and Joe Citizen)."
"Craig Douglas’ ELL was the highlight for me, and IMO, this should be expanded to allow more people to go through it. The experience that comes from this training should be mandatory for getting a carry permit, and more people should have access to this training at TacCon. It was the most eye opening training I’ve ever done, in terms of putting you in a scenario to help you understand what it would be like to be involved in a shooting. Thanks for offering this class!"
"This was my first Tac-Con. It won't be my last. Top-notch instructors, important content. I learned some new skills, and I learned how much more I need to learn!"
"This was my first time at Tac Con. It was an absolutely phenomenal experience. I’ll be back."
